The cottage bathroom is nearly done! The floor of the bathroom steps down from the cottage by about 18 inches. This is after Jesse raised the floor 6 inches. It was below grade and the bathroom had flooded per previous owner due to flood irrigating the property after the irrigation pump failed. Since we know that in running a farm you have to be prepared for the unexpected, we raised the floor in hopes of avoiding future flooding from irrigation failures or heavy rain flooding. We also replaced all the sheet-rock and wall insulation since it had molded. And Jesse replaced the ceiling insulation to remove rat residue. We laid down a super easy and hardy laminate flooring. And with bead-board, trim, a new window, and white paint, the room is now bright and clean. The light fixture is re-purposed. I purchased it white and dirty with no glass globes for $10 from Habitat for Humanity Restore and spray painted it black. The bulbs are Edison LEDs from Walmart.
